Waynetown, May 22 Joseph Oscar Schenck, prominent Waynetown man, died at his home here at 11 o'clock on Tuesday morning, a victim of complications. He had been in ill health for the past 4 years an dhad been in serious condition for the past 3 weeks. Mr. Schenck was born near Waynetown on March 28, 1856, the son of Chrineyance and Margaret Schenck. He was married to Nancy Ellen Westfall March 10, 1881. Deceased was a member of the Christian Union Church and of the Wesley Horsethief Detective Company. He had resided in Waynetown for th epast 8 years. Deceased is survived by his widow, one son, Forrest Schenck; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hughes and Mrs. Cecil Murphy and two brothers, Edgar and Ollie Schenck, all of Waynetown. 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild survive. Funeral services will be held from the Waynetown Baptist Church Thursday afternoon at 2 in charge of Rev. OJ McMullen of Shelbyville and the Rev. Cletus Brown of the local church. Interment will be at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. -- kbz
